According to the show's official synopsis, there's a possibility for Dan and Louise to cancel their honeymoon due to a leak in their roof.

Elsewhere in the episode titled Peter Pan, the Backup Plan, Adventures in Babysitting, and a River Runs Through It, Becky (Lecy Goranson) will surprise the newlyweds and take them on a virtual adventure around the world.

Becky's plans seem like a good replacement for the honeymoon that Dan and Louise might have had in mind originally.

Dan and Louise's journey towards the altar didn't come easy. And it's unlikely for their relationship to be perfect now that they have tied the knot.

While speaking with TV Line, executive producers Bruce Helford and Dave Caplan talked about their decision to write a wedding storyline for the two beloved characters.

"He and Katey have a great relationship. The scene where Dan says how she's made his life better, and Louise says something along the lines of, ‘I'm going to call you my hubby, and I love saying it,' I welled up every time we ran that scene because their chemistry is just so good. They've become such good friends on stage and have such a good time together that it has become very real. That speaks a lot to that performance. It's very natural and very nice," Helford said.

When it comes to future storylines for Dan and Louise, Caplan said that there's plenty of things in store for the two characters.

"We have an episode coming up where he thinks about what it means to dispense with the past and move onto the future. It feels natural to Louise, but it's still difficult for him in places," he said.

"Right away, we are going to get into that, because she is going to be living in the Conner house, and it's her house, too, and there are certain things that happen when you join lives, like, "What do we do with the furniture?" Helford added.

Becky's sobriety will continue to be highlighted in the upcoming episodes of The Conners Season 4.

Goranson wasn't featured in the premiere episode for The Conners Season 4 because her character was in a sober facility.

In The Conners Season 4 Episode 2, Becky returned home looking like a changed person. However, her journey to getting sober will continue to be a challenge.

Earlier this year, Helford explained why they decided to write a relapse story arc for the character after years of being sober.

"When she was going through her original drinking problem on the show, she stopped [because] she was pregnant. After the baby was born, she stopped nursing and could conceivably drink again [but she didn't]. And we thought we may have done a little bit of a disservice making it look so easy that someone could stop cold turkey. It isn't so easy to [quit drinking] for most people, and our show is always trying to be a touchstone of reality in a world of sitcoms that often is not. She would definitely come up against this problem again," he told TV Line.

The Conners Season 4 Episode 5 will air on ABC on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 9 p.m. ET.
