Falling for Christmas is a 2022 holiday rom-com from Netflix starring Lindsay Lohan.
Lohan plays Sierra Belmont, a spoiled young heiress living her best life in her father’s big-time ski resort. What Sierra wants, Sierra gets, and the only thing missing is her true love.
The story begins with Sierra waking up in her luxurious hotel life, assisted by a team of experts who are ready to cater to her. When Tad Fairchild, Sierra’s boyfriend, takes her out to the top of a secluded snowy mountain in the pretense of taking pictures for social media. He drops to one knee and proposes to her, but fate leads ice-cold winds that blow Sierra (still wearing her skis) and Tad off the edge of a snowy mountain.
Sierra lands at the bottom of the mountain, right where Josh finds her. He takes her to the local hospital to be treated. She is generally fine, except for one thing - she seems to be suffering from amnesia. She ends up staying with Josh, his daughter Avy, and his mother-in-law Alejandra, in the North Star Lodge, a family business they run together.
Sierra, now called Sarah after one of Avy’s stuffed animals, performs ‘normal’ tasks and chores in hopes of jogging her memory. They start to spend more time together, bonding over Christmas events, building new Holiday traditions, and eventually finding love.
Meanwhile, Tad is off on an adventure of his own. He landed somewhere in the secluded woods where he found an ice fisherman who takes care of him, taking him on a hike to return to town. when Tad returns to the Belmont hotel without Sierra, Mr. Belmont scolds Terry, Sierra’s assistant, and sets out to find her.
In the end, Sierra’s memories return. She breaks up with Tad, who is upset about breaking up but lets her go, and gets together with Jake.

Is Tad Gay or Bisexual?
There are pleasantly queer surprises in Falling for Christmas.
On the last few scenes of the film, we see Jake confessing his feelings to who he assumes is Sierra, riding a black limo. The windows roll down, and we see Tad, not Sierra, inside the limo with Terry sitting beside him.
Tad, who is a very romantic character, was attracted to and had a relationship with two Sierra (a woman) and Terry (a man). Being attracted to bother a male and a female makes Tad bisexual by definition.
Some fans may argue that Tad was more gay than bisexual. Tad’s attraction to Sierra was only shallow, in such a way that he was more attracted to Sierra’s shine as an heiress and the perks of being connected to a glamorous life. He may have built a more meaningful relationship with Terry, who only had his love and affection to offer.
Either way, Tad is a uniquely lovable character who represents following your heart’s desires.
