WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD. READ WITH CAUTION.
Who Died in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 7?

Nate (Jacob Elordi) might be one of the most important characters in Euphoria, but the show proved it is not afraid to kill off major characters with his unexpected demise in Season 3, Episode 7.
Nate was living a picture-perfect life with Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), without anyone knowing that he had a million-dollar debt to loan shark Naz (Jack Topalian).
His debt eventually caught up with him, and Naz threatened to pay it off. When he couldn’t, Naz targeted Nate’s wife, Cassie, who received an ominous package in the mail containing her husband’s severed ring finger and a note demanding that she answer her phone.
However, having just deleted her OnlyFans account, Cassie struggled to respond, prompting Naz and his enforcer, Artur (Matthew Willig), to come to her apartment and take her hostage.
Naz warned Cassie she only had 72 hours to find a way to pay him before dying of dehydration. Cassie assumed she would be deprived of water, not realizing that Naz was referring to Nate.
What Happened to Nate in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 7?

Euphoria Season 3, Episode 7 revealed that Nate was buried alive in a coffin underground, with only a single drain pipe for air at the Sun Settlers site.
He tried his best to call for help, including reaching out to his own brother, but no one could hear him.
To save her husband, Cassie enlisted Maddy (Alexa Demie), who reached out to Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje).
Maddy did everything she could to convince Alamo to give Cassie money, from wearing a revealing swimsuit to joining him in his hot tub.
It was also implied that Maddy performed sexual favors for Alamo, after which he began to arm himself and prepare a bag full of cash.
The two arrived at Sun Settlers, and Maddy later took the money to Naz. After she dropped the bag in front of his headlights, Cassie, still bound, retrieved it.
Naz was surprised when he opened the bag, but Alamo shot him, leaving him to die in the dirt before delivering a final shot to the head.
Cassie then rushed to save Nate, with Artur using construction equipment to dig up the coffin.
However, when the lid was opened, Cassie screamed, and Maddy looked on in horror as they saw Nate lifeless, with a still-living rattlesnake wrapped around his body.
The snake had entered the pipe and bitten Nate, and he was found with glassy eyes and a swollen, blue tongue, confirming his death.
With Nate’s death, fans now await what will happen to Rue, who is also walking into her own nightmare, as Euphoria Season 3 comes to an end.
Euphoria Season 3, Episode 8, “In God We Trust,” will air on Sunday, May 31, 2026, on HBO and Max.
