- Status: Confirmed
- Last Verified: April 13, 2026
- Quick Answer: Labrinth left Euphoria Season 3 due to creative conflicts and alleged mistreatment, leading him to withdraw his music and be replaced by Hans Zimmer.
Labrinth recently addressed his absence from the third season of Euphoria after working on its music for the first two seasons.
The Grammy-nominated musician's score has been an important part of the series in its previous seasons. However, last month, he announced that he won't be returning for the new season after a seemingly creative clash with the show's team. Fans have been wondering why he is no longer involved in the series.
Why Labrinth is Not Involved in Euphoria Season 3

In a recent post on Instagram Story last weekend (via The Hollywood Reporter), Labrinth explained why he decided not to return in the third season of Euphoria as the composer.
He hinted that he had a fallout with the show's creative team, but also clarified that he remains "cool" with HBO.
"People will comfortably lie in this industry and still call themselves honest people. So no cap, I decided to remove whatever music I had in it," the musician wrote.
"I spoke to HBO, as far as I know, we are cool. I left because, last truth, when I work for someone, their vision is paramount to me, but I don’t let people treat me like s***."
Labrinth made the statement in response to showrunner Sam Levinson's recent comments about his decision to leave the series.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, Levinson called Labrinth "an incredible collaborator and someone who really built the foundation of the sound of Euphoria," and he "[doesn't] know" why he decided to exit.
As a result of Labrinth's departure, Hans Zimmer is now credited as the sole composer for the third season.
