The Quintessential Quintuplets bring five times the trouble with five sisters, the Nakano quintuplets, Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki, struggle over their academic performance and tries to improve on it with the help of their private tutor Futaro Uesugi, an academically gifted student, who was hired by stepfather to lend them a hand in studies.

Futaro Uesugi grabbed the chance of the lifetime when Maruo Nakano, the stepfather of the quintuplets, offered him a hefty amount to teach his stepdaughters and Futaro agreed to it to help his family get out of the debt his father has accrued over the years and with the loss of his mother, they were put through a difficult position in life.

However, the girls are interested in everything other than studying. They focus on different activities such as cooking, sports, baking, and the likes. Still, every parent would want to get the best education there is for their children as parents take pride in bringing their children to finish in a good school in good standing.

On various occasions, it has been hinted that Futaro will end up marrying one of the Nakano quintuplets. He holds dear a photo of a girl he met in Kyoto which he keeps in his student handbook and that girl has been his inspiration ever since. The girl turns out to be one of the quintuplets. Yet, the bride of Futaro is to be revealed as to who among Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki will marry him.

The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬ (two signifying that the season is in its second season) are under a new production company, Bibury Animation Studios, after the first season under Tezuka Productions. It has slated 12 episodes for the second season.

The Quintessential Quintuplets is based on the Japanese shōnen manga of the same name written and illustrated by Negi Haruba and published in the Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine and released in English under Kodansha USA. As of February 2020, the manga series concluded after the release of the 14th tankōbon volume.

Yes, it is here! The Quintessential Quintuplets is one of the animes under the partnership of Funimation and Crunchyroll where both of the anime streaming platforms release the new episodes simultaneously on their respective sites for both premium access subscribers and all.

Crunchyroll offers one week of earlier screening of all the shows in their library for those with premium subscriptions for the price of $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. A week after the release to the premium users, Crunchyroll releases the episodes after a week for free and for the non-premium subscribers to watch.

Is the Quintessential Quintuplets on Netflix?

Yes, it is on Netflix, but, there's a limitation. The Quintessential Quintuplets are only available in Netflix Japan which means that it will not be in Netflix US or other Netflix subscriptions around the world. Still, with Netflix Japan hosting the series, there is hope that the Quintessential Quintuplets may soon be available in Netflix in more locations.

In the meantime, Netflix, being one of the most popular and most diverse streaming platforms for films, TV, shows, and animes, has a wide array of shows in its roster which viewers can enjoy like The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment.

Is the Quintessential Quintuplets in Funimation?

Yup, you got that right, it is in Funimation as previously stated that it is one of the shows within the partnership of Funimation and Crunchyroll that airs on both the streaming platforms. Like that of Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, the Quintessential Quintuplets exists in both Funimation and Crunchyroll.

Funimation, however, shows something different than that on Crunchyroll. Funimation releases the simuldub of Quintessential Quintuplets which means that it airs the English dubbed version of the anime series.

While they have a difference, they are also similar when it comes to giving their premium subscribers a week off earlier screening. In Funimation, a subscription for the rate of $5.99 per month or $59.99 a year for the premium access. Just like Crunchyroll, Funimation also releases the episodes one week after for free and for all.
