Platinum End immediately sets a precedent as one of the anime shows this fall season that captured the interest of many in the span of a few episodes. Its story is well crafted that people are asking whether it is based on a manga and if so, what is the current status of it, if it is complete, finished, or still ongoing.
Platinum End follows Mirai Kakehashi, fed up in a life full of abuse from his aunt and uncle, the people who took him in after his parents died. When he was about to take his life, a guardian angel saved him and from then, he got powers to get the justice he deserved from her aunt and uncle who were responsible for the death of his parents.
Nasse, the guardian angel, also informed to Mirai that he has been chosen as one of the candidates for replacement of God who would be retiring in 999 days. Once chosen, it cannot be negated. Mirai forms an alliance to get the position without killing anyone while the other competitors would kill anyone just to secure the sport.
Crunchyroll and Funimation both have Platinum End where it gets released weekly with new episodes. It is available in its original Japanese audio and English subtitles. There is no update yet as to when there would be an English dubbed version of the show.
To get an early access to the titles under Funimation or Crunchyroll, for the price of $5.99 monthly or $59.99 yearly in Funimation, and cost of $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year in Crunchyroll, one could view the latest episodes a week before it gets released to the general public for free.
