The final season of Attack on Titan has delivered so much, it’s not surprising to see it already being talked about as one of the greatest anime series of all time!
At the end of part 1, we enjoyed a true heavyweight clash between Levi and Zeke. With an explosive finish, many fans assumed Levi was dead until he appeared at the end of episode 82!
Still, lying on a stretcher, he looked in pretty bad shape. So, for fans that just have to know, we’re taking a look at whether Levi is dead or alive in Attack on Titan.

Did Levi Die Fighting Zeke?
One of the biggest events in Attack on Titan season 4 part 1 is Levi’s fight with Zeke. After fighting through his comrades turned into titans, Levi manages to recapture Zeke, only for him to seemingly commit suicide by igniting a Thunder Spear in their cart.
At the beginning of part 2, Hange finds the remains of their cart and discovers that Zeke protected himself through his titan powers, while Levi is pronounced dead at the scene.
However, now we know that Levi’s death might not be as straightforward; not that it was ever going to be for such a fighter!

Is Levi Dead?
No, Levi is not dead in Attack on Titan! He miraculously survived Zeke’s explosion, although he is severely weakened.
The shock from the blast actually put Levi into a coma, which is woken when Eren reached out to all Eldians through the Founding Titan. He is cared for by Hange and some Marleyans, who eventually discover that Levi’s face is severely scarred and that he has lost a few fingers, but has somehow stayed alive.
Understandably given that an explosion happened right in front of him, Levi is in quite a bad state for a long while. However, he does manage to recover in time to join the big fight at the end of the series, so we’ve not seen the last of him just yet!
It’s a remarkable survival, befitting of Levi’s stature as the ultimate fighter! We can’t wait to see what he can do in Attack on Titan’s big finish, whenever that might be.
