A famous and highly recommended slice of life anime is K-On!, which is about Sakuragaoka High School's Light Music Club.

The Light Music Club consists of Yui Hirasawa, Tsumugi Kotobuki, Azusa Nakano, Mio Akiyama, and Ritsu Tainaka—also known as the rock band Ho-kago Tea Time. K-On! is a four-panel seinen manga series created by Kakifly. It was serialized from 2007 to 2010 in Houbunsha. The series was relaunched in 2011, which included two different plotlines. In 2009, Kyoto Animation released an anime adaptation of the first season. The second season was released a year later, followed by a movie adaptation in 2011.

Directed by Naoko Yamada, a lot of fans appreciate K-On! for its portrayal of youth alongside an incredible soundtrack.
