Jujutsu Kaisen follows the world where every living being is naturally having Cursed Energy flowing through the body coming from negative emotions. Because these are beyond the control of normal people, they lose their Cursed Energy giving way to the birth of the Curses.

A few numbers of blessed people with the ability to control and manipulate their Cursed Energy are the Jujutsu Sorcerers which can reduce the release and use these energies like those in the high ranks who can refine their Cursed Energy to perform Cursed Techniques fitting for the user of their lineage.

Yuji Itadori is a member of the Occult Research Club in school and they unfortunately opened a talisman which belongs to Sukuna, a pure evil and powerful Curse. This caused negative emotions coupled and strengthened by the magic of the sorcerers around the area to attract the Curses to the vicinity of the school.

Aware of what is happening, Megumi Fushiguro, a young sorceress confronted Yuji as regards the freeing of the talisman. When the events worsened, Yuji swallows the talisman which is a finger of Sukuna. He then becomes the host of Sukuna but surprisingly, Yuji still has control over his body.

The plan is simple: delay the death of Yuji until he can swallow all the fingers of Sukuna to kill the evil Curse all at once.
