Based on a light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kakao Lanthanum, Combatants Will Be Dispatched is a sci-fi comedy anime series that began airing in April 2021 to instant praise from fans for its wacky comedy which is understandable since it comes from the same creator of the hit isekai fantasy Konosuba. The light novel is currently up to 6 volumes in Japan as of September 2020, and the manga adaptation is also up to 6 volumes as of March 2021. The anime adaptation is animated by J.C. Staff and features Hiroaki Akagi as the director working off scripts written by Yukie Sugawara. The anime series will run for 12 episodes.
In this series, the main characters are Combat Agent 6 and a combat android named Alice, who works for the evil Kisaragi Corporation. The corporation has nearly taken over Earth and decides to extend its reach into outer space by sending the two characters to a fantasy world via teleporter. Unfortunately for them, shortly after they arrive they are drafted into a kingdom's army and must now balance their Earth work with their soldier work.
Is Combatants Will be Dispatched! on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, or Funimation in English Sub or Dub?
As of April 23rd, 2021, the only legal place to watch Combatants Will Be Dispatched is on Funimation. No other streaming service including Crunchyroll, Hulu, or Netflix has announced plans to stream this series at any point in the future. This could change at any time, however, so be sure to check back for more details as they are revealed.
Combatants Will Be Dispatched has already proven itself to be a fun romp, and we all sincerely hope that it can continue to be this entertaining all the way through to the end! It's always hard to guess if a series is going to lose steam at the halfway mark when the first major climax generally happens.
