What Happened to Charlie Hunnam in Rebel Moon Part 1?
Hunnam made waves in Rebel Moon - Part 1: A Child of Fire. He starred in the movie as a pilot and smuggler named Kai. He was even credited as a main character in the film.
In Rebel Moon Part 1, Kai joins Kora (played by Sofia Boutella). Eventually, it turned out that he had other plans for Kora and the other characters.
Kai turned out to be an imposter, who led Kora and the warriors into a trap. He did this so he could be rewarded for handing over the wanted men.
But as we see at the end of Rebel Moon Part 1, Kai's plan backfired. As a result of this, he was killed by Gunnar (played by Michiel Huisman).

Is Charlie Hunnam in Rebel Moon Part 2? Speculations Explored
Because Kai died in the first Rebel Moon film, it's possible that Charlie Hunnam will not appear in Rebel Moon Part 2.
His story ended in the first movie, which means there is very little chance his character is still alive.
If ever, Hunnam could be seen in Rebel Moon Part 2 in flashback scenes. After all, the actor joined the rest of the cast as they promoted Rebel Moon - Part 2: The Scargiver.
In an interview, Hunnam even joked that Kai has a handsome twin brother.
The actor also joked about the idea of a new character called Stai, whom he has been pitching in the past. Hunnam describes Stai as an eyepatch-wearing character who is "a very sort of slick version of Kai."
We can't discount the fact that Hunnam isn't on the list of characters on the film's IMDb page, so he might not appear in Rebel Moon Part 2 at all.
Although this has not yet been confirmed, our bet is he'll appear in flashback scenes. After all, he is one of the characters fans loved the most from the first film.
