One of the MCU shows that are currently in the works is Ironheart which will focus on young inventor Riri Williams, a character that will be introduced in the upcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While the exact plot details are under wraps, we are starting to hear more updates regarding the series and now it looks like they have recruited another cast member as they have moved towards production.
According to Deadline, Good Girls star Manny Montana has joined the cast of Ironheart. As usual, the details regarding the character that he will play are under wraps for now although it will be a series regular role. They also reported that the series has also started filming.
He joins the cast that already includes Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, and Harper Anthony. Chinaka Hodge serves as the head writer. Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes are directing. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout, Ryan Coogler, Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian will serve as executive producers alongside Hodge.
Montana is known for playing Rio in Good Girls. He also appeared in other TV shows such as Mayans M.C., Graceland, Grimm, Power, Lucifer, NCIS: Los Angeles, Rosewood, and All American. He also appeared in the films The Mule and Blackhat.
It's always exciting whenever there's a new talent involved in an MCU project. Montana is a great addition to the cast and it is curious to see what he will do in the series. As usual, we don't know any details regarding the character that he will play whether he will be on the good side or play one of the villains that Riri will face in the series. Let's just wait and see what Marvel has in store here.
