Iron Fist Supporting Actor Is Deadpool 2's Shatterstar

Deadpool 2 has to be one of the most anticipated superhero sequels coming out this year. The first film was considered by many to be the perfect introduction to the Merc with a Mouth, even with a low budget and limited settings. It seems like the sequel is changing all that, with a much bigger budget and the introduction of X-Force.

With the X-Force announcement official after the film's most recent trailer, Iron Fist star Lewis Tan has confirmed that he will be playing Shatterstar in the R rated sequel.

Tan made the official announcement on his Instagram, though he made fans guess who he would be. Of all the actors seen in the image he shared, it's clear that Tan is Shatterstar. The character might not be the most loved in Marvel but he has had his fair share of memorable moments from X-Force and X-Factor.

Also, he is also one of the few openly LGBT characters in Marvel. While that list has grown in recent years, Shatterstar was out of the closet earlier than most. It will be interesting to see if this will be addressed in the movie and if his lover, X-Factor's Rictor, makes an appearance.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18.
