Iron Fist Season Two: Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple Will Not Appear

There is plenty of anticipation and anxiety surrounding Iron Fist season two, with many hoping that it will be a much better show than the first season. Various set photos have confirmed a number of characters returning and a couple of guest stars like Misty Knight, so there are things to look forward to. However, one character who has been a constant in these Netflix Marvel shows has been Rosario Dawson's, Claire Temple.

Unfortunately, Marvel Television Head Jeph Loeb confirmed that we would not be seeing Claire in the show's second season. However, Loeb was quick to say that their relationship with the acclaimed actress is a good one and we could see her return in the future.

"Claire won't be in there, but our relationship with Rosario [Dawson] is awesome and we love her, she loves us and — when the story lends itself into that place and hopefully she's available — we go down that road. Believe me, there isn't any showrunner who hasn't come in and said, ‘So where are we with Rosario?' And we go, ‘Well, let's tell the story and figure it all out.'"

Dawson did tease that her appearance in Luke Cage season two would be her last one for a while. Still, it is nice to know that the door for her return will always be open, though we can only hope that it doesn't feel forced or anything like that. Dawson has done a great job with Claire so no one's tired of her yet.

First debuting in Daredevil season one, Claire has been a fairly popular mainstay in the Marvel Netflix-verse. She was even brought into the comics recently, though not with much fanfare.

Iron Fist season two premieres in Netflix on September 7.
