Invader Zim Enter the Florpus: Netflix Announces August Release with New Teaser

Netflix has been notorious for bringing a lot of canceled shows back to life, and later this year we'll see the return of Nickelodeon's Invader Zim. Just in, the streaming service has dropped a new teaser for Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, and we have the announcement that the movie is coming out next month!

Here's the official description:

Zim discovers his almighty leaders never had any intention of coming to Earth and he loses confidence in himself for the first time in his life, which is the big break his human nemesis, Dib has been waiting for.

Based on what we've seen from the earlier teasers, it doesn't look like the status quo has changed much since the show. Zim is still on Earth convinced that he's been set on a special mission by the Tallest, and Dib is still looking out to expose Zim. Of course, we also have appearances from supporting characters Gir and Gaz.

With its dark humor and unique visual style, Invader Zim remains to be a cult classic for Nickelodeon. The series doesn't really have a definitive ending for Zim, Dib, and the rest of the characters, but hopefully, with this film, we get a satisfying conclusion that will not just be for fans, but for people who are looking for an intro to Invader Zim.

Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus hits Netflix on Aug. 16.
