Sony had given us the official trailer for Men in Black: International earlier today, but what some people don't know is that they actually dropped two trailers, the other being the international one. This other preview actually has a lot of new footage, and it also features the return of a familiar canine companion from the earlier films—Frank!
We know that Emma Thompson is reprising her role as Agent O from MIB 3, and it's great that we get callbacks from characters that were in the first two films. Besides Frank, we also have the "worms" walking around. We don't really know if they have some significance in this movie, but based on their armored up look in the banner, they could very well have another role to play with MIB:I.
When it comes to this movie though, I have to say I'm going to be a bit cautious with my optimism. I mean, the chemistry between Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson is great, but I think the aliens could have been made to look a bit rougher. I mean, I like Kumail Nanjiani and all, but his character is just so poorly designed in my opinion.
This is the official description for the film:
The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.
Catch Men in Black: International when it comes out June 14.
