Insomniacs After School: The Sleepless Friendship
High schooler Nakami finds it difficult to sleep on most nights, leading to irritability at school.
He constantly looks for secluded places at school where he can doze off.
Elsewhere, Magari is a carefree girl who is popular among her friends, but her sleep disorder remains a secret.
When she needs to take a quick nap, she uses the abandoned astronomy club’s observatory as her secret sleeping haven.
By a stroke of luck, Nakami stumbles upon Magari, who is peacefully taking a nap in the observatory.
Upon discovering the shared struggle, Magari generously offers to share her secret sleeping spot with Nakami, who also battles insomnia.
As they spend time together, finding solace in each other’s presence, they start to confront their challenges with renewed strength.
Will There Be an Insomniacs After School Season 2?
As of now, there has been no official announcement about Insomniacs After School Season 2.
However, the anime has been quite popular in Spring 2023's romance anime roster.
Given the popularity and success of the series, the creators may continue adapting the manga in Insomniacs After School Season 2.
In fact, there have been rumors floating on the web that the series will be renewed for a second season.
However, we still have to wait for an official confirmation from the makers.
The finale of Insomniacs After School Season 1 is scheduled to release on July 4, 2023.
By then, we will hopefully get a clearer picture of any renewal confirmation.

Since Insomniacs After School is yet to be renewed for a second season, there is also no official release date for Season 2.
However, Liden Films and the makers of the series will take into consideration the good response Season 1 received.
As such, it is highly likely that Liden Films will announce the official Insomniacs After School Season 2 release date soon.
Meanwhile, if we have to make an educated prediction, we can take into consideration the studio’s past releases.
For instance, Liden Films released Tokyo Revengers Season 1 in 2021, and Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown was released in 2023.
