Indiana Jones 5 Starts Shooting April 2019

Steven Spielberg has dropped one hell of a bombshell. During the Rakuten TV Empire Awards, Spielberg was awarded the Legend of Our Lifetime award. As the legendary director was speaking, he confirmed something big; Indiana Jones 5 will be shot on April 2019 in the UK.

According to Empire, Spielberg confirmed that his frequent collaborators would be joining him for the UK shooting next year. Harrison Ford will reportedly reprise his role as Jones, though it looks like Shia Labeouf won't be returning. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull made it seem like that he would be the star of the next Indiana Jones films but Labeouf and Spielberg don't seem to be on good terms these days.

Here is the full statement from Spielberg:

"It's always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK. The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here."

The news should be interesting to those that have wanted a new Indiana Jones film. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hasn't been looked at fondly, with the nuclear bomb and the refrigerator being the last straw for some.

No release date for Indiana Jones 5 has been confirmed, though reports are claiming that the film is aiming for a July 2020 release.
