Incredibles II Promo Clip has Mr. and Mrs. Incredible Ice Skating

This June will see the release of the highly anticipated Incredibles II from Disney Pixar, and marketing for the film has been heavily integrated with the Winter Olympics. We already had a sneak peek for the movie, and now we have some new animation of Mr. and Mrs. Incredible ice skating.

Watching the first Incredibles movie, you can see that Pixar has greatly improved upon the characters in the promo clip. Their bodies seem to move more fluidly, unlike the first movie, where they were a bit more solid. There's also a lot of finer detail when it comes to skin and hair.

Though I thought the first Incredibles had wrapped up quite nicely, I'm hoping that this sequel doesn't come out as unnecessary. Besides Coco, Pixar had been constantly pumping out sequels/prequels to their existing properties; I don't really need Incredibles II to end up like Finding Dory.

With director Brad Bird back, though, I'm hopeful that we'll get a nice follow-up to the first film. With the oversaturation of the superhero genre nowadays, I wonder if Incredibles II is going to make a commentary on the current status of comic book movies.

Elastigirl springs into action to save the day, while Mr. Incredible faces his greatest challenge yet -- taking care of the problems of his three children.

The Incredibles II comes out June 15.
