Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel in Amazing Image

After the announcement of Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk, Marvel Studios has found another new lead in Iman Vellani for Ms. Marvel. While we don't have an official look at Vellani in costume yet, artists all over the internet have been giving their stab at what Ms. Marvel could look like for the MCU.

When they said that Vellani was a newcomer, they really meant it. Journalists have only been able to find a handful of pictures of her online, and she doesn't even have an IMDb page when the news of her Ms. Marvel casting came out.

Either way, a lot of people are excited to watch Kamala Khan come to life onscreen. While Square Enix's Avengers game already gave us one version of Kamala, I'm curious how they will set her apart for the MCU. In the comics, Kamala is kind of a big Avengers fangirl, but since Peter Parker is already like that in the MCU, it would feel a tad repetitive if they did it for Kamala as well. Then again, it would be neat to see Peter and Kamala interact—maybe they can even make her a classmate. With the rumor going out that Kamala will debut in another Marvel project before Ms. Marvel, my fingers are crossed we get to meet her in the third Spider-Man movie next year.

No release date has been set for Ms. Marvel, but the first Marvel miniseries, WandaVision, is set to come out on Disney+ before 2020 ends.
