Ildangbaek Butler might welcome Lee Jun Young as one of the main cast members soon.
Initial conversations regarding the lead positions on Ildangbaek Butler mentioned Yoon Doojoon and Hyeri’s names. Months ago, their agencies confirmed that they both received offers from the upcoming K-drama’s team despite their busy schedule.
Fans expected to see Yoon Doojoon in the drama since he has not appeared in any other drama after his appearance in There is No Goo Pil Soo. However, he is currently busy with his K-pop group, Highlight, which recently made a comeback this year with a full-length album, DAYDREAM.
Ildangbaek Butler Trying To Cast Lee Jun Young Instead
Yoon Doojoon’s agency, Around Us Entertainment, revealed that the actor indeed received an offer. However, the K-pop idol declined the offer due to the broadcast schedule, causing Lee Jun Young’s name to surface.
On Tuesday, Sports Seoul revealed that Lee Jun Young would star in the upcoming MBC drama. But the actor’s agency, Jflex Entertainment, said that he is yet to confirm his participation as he is currently reviewing the offer positively.

Fans would surely love to see him in the drama, especially since he has already proved his skills in several projects including Imitation, D.P., Love and Leashes, and Let Me Be Your Night.
For now, fans can wait until Lee Jun Young decides to take the offer.
Meanwhile, Hyeri and her agency have not confirmed whether she has accepted the role already. But no other actress has been connected to it yet.
Ildangbaek Butler’s Synopsis
Ildangbaek Butler will explore Butler Kim’s life as he runs errands at 100 KRW per job. A funeral director named Baek Dong Joo grants the wishes of the dead. The duo then work together to operate their business called Ildangbaek.
In Korea, the term is used to describe a person doing the work of 100. But in the drama’s case, it means that a butler does an errand for 100 KRW each.
If Lee Jun Young accepts the role, he will play the role of Butler Kim -- the sole employee of Ildangbaek. He possesses eyes that speak kindness, but he still has a fierce side. He ends up meeting Baek Dong Joo after receiving a request from a customer. After three meetings, he discovers a secret that leads to his and Baek Dong Joo’s life intertwined.
Ildangbaek Butler is currently set to premiere in the second half of the year.
