The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is now bigger than ever thanks to Disney+ as Marvel Studios is now also producing TV shows for the service. One of the many projects that they are working on is I Am Groot, an animated series based on Groot. There are some fans who have been wondering about when it will air given that it's been in the works for quiet a while. Now, it looks like we have an idea now about its release window.

An Amazon listing on an upcoming Funko Marvel Collector Corps box, which is themed around I Am Groot, was recently posted in which it indicated that the shipping date will be around this coming May. Meanwhile, a listing from Double Boxed Toys on the same product stated that it is due to be released on June or July.

The product listing is described as: "The Marvel Collector Corps subscription box celebrates iconic Marvel moments and crossovers. This Marvel Studios’ I Am Groot edition celebrates everyone’s favorite baby tree as seen on Disney+! Boost the lineup of your Marvel collection today! Each blind box contains 4 to 5 exclusive collectibles; the Marvel Studios’ I am Groot Box includes an exclusive Pop! vinyl figure, a pin, a decal, and a tee shirt!"

Given that most merch of an MCU film or TV show is usually released around the same time that they are being premiered, the listings are hinting that we might be seeing I Am Groot this coming summer between May to July. It is likely that they'll release it after Ms. Marvel which will premiere on early June. We do have to take note that neither Marvel Studios nor Disney+ have confirmed the release window yet so this is still all just speculation.

If I Am Groot does end up premiering this summer, we should be hearing an official announcement from Marvel Studios and Disney+ anytime soon and possibly release a trailer. It would be curious to see what kind of direction will they take on the series given that it will be in animated format although it is believed to be part of the MCU canon. Let's just wait and see if this potential release window is true at all.
