The Hulk might have decided to stay hidden for a majority of Avengers: Infinity War, however, Joe and Anthony Russo had actually planned to use the big green guy as part of the climactic Battle of Wakanda as well as the final scene with Thanos at the end of the film.
Fans have been sharing different concept art pieces taken from the art book The Avengers: Infinity War – Art of the Movie and one of the most recent images that's managed to make its way online shows Hulk together with the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy in an attack against Thanos in Wakanda.
With Captain America (Chris Evans) holding down the left arm of the Mad Titan, Hulk takes on the right side, helping pin Thanos while Thor (Chris Hemsworth) drives Stormbreaker straight into the villain's chest.
However, in the end, the Russos decided to forego the team effort, leaving the ax-stabbing all to Marvel's Asgardian God of Thunder.

This confirms early speculation that Hulk would be there for the final scene of the film. Fans were expecting more participation from Bruce Banner's (Mark Ruffalo) angry alter-ego when they saw him fighting alongside the Avengers in footage from the very first trailer of Infinity War, however, the character ended up taking to the bench for most of the movie.
Now, with Avengers 4 on the way, fans are hoping that Hulk musters up his courage to help out the team and bring back the dead half of the universe back to life.
Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
