It's been three years since Hugh Jackman had his swan song as Wolverine in James Mangold's gritty comic book movie, Logan. The tenth film in the X-Men film series was Hugh Jackman's final film as James Hawlett and because of its strong narrative and acting, Logan easily became one of the most critically-acclaimed entries in 21st Century Fox's mutant film franchise.
Posting on Twitter, Hugh Jackman celebrated the third anniversary of Logan's release by sharing a promo image of himself in Logan, thanking his fans for the many, many years of "sweat, steamed chicken, and the role of a lifetime.
"3 years ago, on this day, LOGAN was released. Thank you for the many (and I really mean MANY) years of sweat, steamed chicken and the role of a lifetime! #thankful#Wolverine#xmen#Logan," the actor wrote on his post.

Logan made a huge impact on the comic book franchise. Not only did it allow Jackman and Patrick Stewart to take their respective roles as Wolverine and Professor X to a new height, but Logan also paved the way for other gritty, R-rated comic book movies like Deadpool and Joker.
The X-Men movie proved to the industry that it was possible for filmmakers to create R-rated character-driven comic book movies and succeed. Not only did Logan manage to rake in more than $619 million at the box office, but it also enjoyed overwhelming critical success. The movie boasts Jackman's finest performance as the X-Men's Wolverine.
