It's common knowledge to subscribers of Netflix that users aren't allowed to screenshot certain sequences from any film or series in its library. While it was initially impossible to do so, a new feature offers an alternative to its users which is long overdue.

Netflix has always been cautious about taking screenshots on its streaming platform due to digital rights management (DRM) restrictions.

However, their newest feature called 'Moments' may have found a loophole in their system.

Recently announced on Netflix Tudum, 'Moments' is a new feature on Netflix that allows subscribers to digitally 'save' their favorite scenes in any movie and series playing on the streamer.

These 'moments' will be saved in their profiles, where users can relive their most memorable scenes at the exact same time it was taken.

The catch? This feature may somewhat look like a loophole for those looking forward to the screenshot option, but like the download to Netflix feature, 'Moments' has a limit of its own.

The Catch? The Screenshot on Netflix 'Cheat' Works With a Limit

First of all, 'Moments' is limited to being used on mobile phones, specifically on the iOs, at least for now. Netflix plans on extending its usage to Android users, as well, in the coming weeks.

As the feature is limited to mobile phones, the 'Moments' option is only available on the application once installed on the device.

Another catch is that these 'screenshots' won't be saved to the mobile device. Instead, they stay accessible within the Netflix app where subscribers can go back without having to search or scroll through which episode they witnessed such memories.

The button is located right beside the 'Speed' button to make things easier to save while watching the scenes unfold.

These 'Moments' can be shared across social media platforms: on Instagram, Facebook, and more!
