Jenna Ortega swept her fans with her portrayal of Wednesday Adams in the Netflix's hit series. Many wanted to follow her look with the hashtag #gothgirl trending on TikTok, and her makeup artist was generous enough to help them achieve Ortega's look.

How To Achieve Wednesday Addams' Looks

Ortega's makeup artist Tara McDonald has answered the questions surrounding Wednesday's appearance. She was kind enough to name the products and brands she used on the You actress to achieve the goth girl look, Heat World reported.

According to McDonald, the secret to Wednesday's dark pout is the MAC's Nightmoth lip liner. She blends it with Dr. Pawpawy Ultimate Red Balm for a more natural-looking result. Also, the balm hydrates and tints the lip.

For her eyes, McDonald used MAC Brown Script Eyeshadow as base for Wednesday's dark eye. It also gave a warm-tone brown effect. She then applied MAC Carbon Eyeshadow to the lower lash line for a dark and hollowing effect.

She combined MAC Eyeshadow Glitch in the Matrix and MAC Carbon on the upper lash line to give Wednesday the soft goth glam.

For Wednesday's contour, the makeup artist applied MAC's Sculpt as the lighter contour shade on Ortega's cheek. She used MAC's Shadowy as the darker contour, which also helped achieve the Hollywood-sculpted cheekbones.

What Did Jenna Ortega Say About Wednesday Addams?

Jenna Ortega appeared cold and fearless, playing the titular character in Netflix's Wednesday Addams. It wasn't the first time she played a challenging role because she has been locked in a basement with a corpse in X, has shot a serial killer to death in Scream, and shredded a satanic cult member with a boat propeller in The Babysitter: Killer Queen.

However, there is something in Wednesday Addams — in particular, her character's deeper layers.

"My Wednesday has this concealed confidence," Ortega told The New York Times about her character. "She's on a mission, and she won't let anyone get in her way."

Wednesday Addams was a huge hit. However, Ortega admitted that she had second thoughts about taking on the role of a known franchise.

"I definitely had hesitations about doing it," she said. "I'd already been there and done that with teen shows."

Meanwhile, the Wednesday showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar were both clear on how they wanted to develop the character.

"Wednesday starts strong and stays that way," Millar said. "She's unapologetic, fearless, smart, weird — it's very rare to see a female teen character who's that sure of herself."

Wednesday Addams streams on Netflix.
