Stan Lee has had a difficult year, but it looks like he's happier now that he's talking to colleagues and friends more often.
Artist and X-Force creator Rob Liefeld visited Stan Lee for an afternoon hangout, and they talked about Lee's love for Deadpool films. Liefeld also told him about the Fox and Disney deal that will bring most of the characters he helped create back home where it belongs: the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Liefeld shared the Marvel legend's reaction on his Instagram post along with a photo of the two of them:
"I informed him that Disney was bringing the Fox family of Marvel characters home, that they'd be reunited and he settled back in his chair and he smiled "Thank you for telling me that."
I'm glad that Stan Lee looks healthier and happier now after all the controversies he's been through earlier this year. Hopefully, we'll see him show up in a future Avengers vs. X-Men film.
Last week, Disney and Fox shareholders approved Disney's $71.3 billion purchase of Fox to acquire their film and television assets, including the movie rights for X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool. It will also grant Disney grants to other properties such as Avatar and The Simpsons.
