How 'Agents of SHIELD' Season 6 Will Deal With Coulson's Absence

Agents of SHIELD season 6 is going to be an odd season for some since early reports have hinted that Phil Coulson, played by Clark Gregg, won't be there. Considering how he's the most popular character in the show, not having him for the sixth season seems like a big no-no. It's not yet known how the series will explain his absence but Chloe Bennett just gave us a big clue about the situation.

Speaking with TVLine, Bennett revealed that her character Daisy Johnson will be mourning the loss of Coulson. Yeah, that's a pretty big indication that Coulson might be actually dead this time, though there's always a chance that he could just be missing or absent. Plus, Marvel already tried to kill him once in The Avengers, so a second death would just be lame.

Does anyone remember the good old days when we thought TV Coulson was an LMD? Ah, the good old days. Anyway, here is Bennett's full statement regarding the matter:

"In my mind, she has a bit more of a peace to her. There is obviously the mourning of Coulson, but she's also been through it all and she is genuinely stronger from it. She is not dealing with things as she has in the past. She has fully accepted her trauma and is moving forward in the most healthy way, for the first time."

No release date for Agents of SHIELD has been revealed, though it is expected to hit this Summer.
