House of the Dragon Trailer Drops First Glimpse at Daemon's Terrifying Dragon Caraxes

House of the Dragon is set to bring us more dragons. After all, that's exactly what the Game of Thrones spin-off series promises in its title. So it's no surprise that the official trailer for the highly anticipated HBO show delivers stunning glimpses at the magnificent dragons who will play a major role in the drama and that includes the terrifying debut of Daemon Targaryen's massive mount Caraxes!

The House of the Dragon trailer was just dropped ahead of the show's anticipated panel at San Diego Comic-Con and yes, there are dragons. Although it looks like there are a lot of dragons here, it mostly shows Rhaenyra Targaryen's mount Syrax, who is revealed in egg form (possibly when she was presented to the princess) and later soaring in the air.

However, Syrax isn't the only magnificent mount featured in the trailer. At one point, we get to see Daemon Targaryen trying to soothe his temperamental dragon Caraxes and it might look easy but this is one of the most terrifying dragons introduced in George R.R. Martin's novels. So far, it's clear that Caraxes is going to appear a lot in the new show and we can't wait to see him in action next month.

We previously got a good look at Syrax and now we're getting to see a lot of Caraxes. However, there are more dragons to look forward to in House of the Dragon. Considering that the series is bringing in quite a few dragonriders (including Rhaenys Velaryon), the Dance of the Dragons is set to be an amazing battle to watch out for in the show.

House of the Dragon will star Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, and Matt Smith. The series will premiere on HBO on August 21, 2022.
