House of the Dragon Season 3

Fans have a lot to expect from House of the Dragon Season 3, and based on early reviews, it looks set to live up to the hype.

The premiere episode is set to begin with the Battle of the Gullet, a naval war so vast and expensive that showrunner Ryan Condal called it “arguably the craziest episode of television ever made.”

The first episode will run for 72 minutes, the longest episode in the show’s history so far, and it promises extended action as the Triarchy’s fleet collides with Corlys Velaryon’s navy in a battle that takes place both at sea and in the air, with dragons involved.

While the Blacks may hold the upper hand in this fight, the Triarchy has something up its sleeve.

Many of its sailors have fought against Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) and his dragon Caraxes during the War in the Stepstones, meaning they already know how to handle these flying beasts, making them even more dangerous.

Jace (Harry Collett), Rhaenyra’s (Emma D’Arcy) eldest surviving son, will also join the war with his dragon Vermax, and fans who have read George R.R. Martin’s novel already know what heartbreaking event will take place here. (Of course, we don’t want to spoil it.)

The two other princes, Aegon and Viserys, will also be in danger as Rhaenyra sails them to Pentos for safety, but instead ends up sailing directly into the approaching Triarchy fleet.

As House of the Dragon Season 3 is about to enter a war considered the most brutal and irreversible phase, fans are about to witness a battle like no other.
