House of the Dragon Episode 6 Preview Confirms Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke Taking Over as Rhaenyra and Alicent

House of the Dragon isn't slowing down as things are getting even more complicated in King's Landing. The latest episode continued to force Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower to feud for power and this fight will continue for a long time. The preview for House of the Dragon Episode 6 promises another major time skip and this time, Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke will be taking over as the adult Rhaenyra and Alicent.

The House of the Dragon Episode 6 preview brings us to a meeting with the Small Council who are once again discussing an issue with the Stepstones. It doesn't take long before Rhaenyra and Alicent have an exchange as Daemon Targaryen is brought up.

In addition to seeing the adult Rhaenyra and Alicent, we get to see their children who are very different from each other. Alicent's children are shown with their father the King's silver hair while Rhaenyra's children appear to have brown hair. Naturally, people are questioning why the princess has born brown-haired children and there is no one more invested in learning the truth than the queen herself.

House of the Dragon Episode 6 will be the first episode featuring Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke as Rhaenyra and Alicent, respectively. The characters were previously played by Milly Alcock and Emily Carey who both did an amazing job laying down the complexities of the relationship between the princess and the queen. Although it's unfortunate that we have to say goodbye to Alcock and Carey, we're looking forward to D'Arcy and Cooke next week.

House of the Dragon Episode 5 is now streaming on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 6 is titled The Princess and The Queen and will premiere on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
