House of the Dragon Episode 6 Clip Reveals Rhaenyra's Painful Childbirth Dilemma

We're getting a new episode of House of the Dragon on Sunday and it looks like the fight between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower will be in full swing. A new clip from House of the Dragon Episode 6 features Rhaenyra having to deal with some difficulties right after giving birth to her first son!

The House of the Dragon Episode 6 clip was shared by the official HBO Twitter account and it features another glimpse at Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen as well as our first look at John Macmillan as the adult Laenor Velaryon. In the clip, the excited Laenor greets his wife who has just given birth to a son. However, Rhaenyra is in a hurry to leave the birthing room with her infant, telling her husband that she has been summoned to present the baby to "her."

As they continue to walk, they converse about "her" and it becomes clear that they both dislike this person and with reason considering that she is summoning a woman who has just given birth and requires some rest. At one point, Rhaenyra feels some pain that makes her stop but she urges Laenor to continue guiding her.

So who is the person that has called for Rhaenyra to bring her child? Although it is never revealed, it is believed to be Alicent Hightower since she is the only one who is of a higher rank and would have the power to summon the princess. Summoning Rhaenyra certainly seems like a power move and one that could prove that the two are no longer friends.

House of the Dragon Episode 5 is now streaming on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 6 is titled The Princess and The Queen and will premiere on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
