It's almost time for the next episode of House of the Dragon and we just got an awesome glimpse at what to expect this Sunday. The new images from Episode 5 offer a look at two of the great Valyrian Houses being united in a royal wedding.
The stills from House of the Dragon Episode 5 were shared by the show's official Twitter account. Although there are only four photos, they focus on the important players in the upcoming episode. One picture shows Rhaenyra Targaryen with her future husband Laenor Velaryon while the second features King Viserys I Targaryen with Corlys and Rhaenys Velaryon. The king and the princess sit together in the third and the last image features everyone gathered at the royal table.
It's truly a time for celebration considering that the wedding will bring together the most powerful Houses from Valyria. In addition to that, it's an alliance that will make Westeros even stronger.
The alliance has already been suggested in the previous episode of House of the Dragon when King Viserys told Rhaenyra she will have to marry Laenor following a scandal where the princess was seen in a brothel with her uncle Daemon Targaryen. Although Rhaenyra agrees, she urges her father to remove Otto Hightower as Hand of the King.
Although House of the Dragon Episode 5 looks like a glorious celebration, the teaser for the episode suggests that there will be violence that goes with it. After all, this is a Game of Thrones spin-off and it's almost impossible for blood not to be shed every week. Needless to say, we can't wait to see the new episode this Sunday.
House of the Dragon Episode 4 is now available on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 5 is titled We Light the Way and will premiere on HBO on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
