Honest Trailers: Knives Out’s Main Point is Pretty Much The Last Jedi’s

After his success with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson had come back to form with a smaller movie called Knives Out. The film was a hit last year, and now we have the Honest Trailer for the movie via Screen Junkies.

From the director who ruined your manchildhood, comes a film about how if you act like an entitled dick, women and minorities will take away everything you ever loved. No, not [The Last Jedi], the new one… aaaand mute thread.

Ever since Star Wars, it’s been kind of a thing that Rian Johnson loves to subvert expectations when it comes to movies. He did the same thing with TLJ, and he pretty much does the same when it comes to Knives Out. The great thing is, he manages to make Knives exciting, despite us knowing who the murderer is since the beginning of the movie.

Johnson had actually gotten nominated for an Oscar when it comes to this film, and Lionsgate has apparently approved a sequel already. We don’t know what the story is yet, but we know that Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc is expected to return. Hopefully, this will be a different genre of film this time, because I have a feeling that Johnson is already thinking about what we’re expecting.

Though I’m excited to see Johnson’s next work, I’m really eager to have him come back for Star Wars. I know a lot of fans didn’t like TLJ, but I’m sure more people are on the side of Johnson. After the fiasco with The Rise of Skywalker, I think the franchise needs Johnson now more than ever.

Knives Out is now available on digital and hits DVD/Blu-Ray on Feb. 25.
