Honest Trailer: Did Transformers The Last Knight Rip-Off Star Wars?

Screen Junkies is currently going through their poll of most wanted Honest Trailer for 2017, and on the top of that list is Michael Bay’s final Transformers movie, The Last Knight.

Check out the Honest Trailer:

Strap in for another Shakespearean tale in a sense that it’s a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing… but you can bet your life there’ll be some big-ass explosions, mild to moderate racism, and action that looks like two Radio Shacks doing kama sutra in a hurricane.

Seeing that this movie came out the same year as The Last Jedi, it’s kind of uncanny that the film would include some homages to the franchise, just like the floating “TIE Fighters” or the robot butler who kind of looks like C-3PO. Even Transformers: Dark of the Moon included some Inception music.

Despite Michael Bay’s reputation, he’s always managed to cast revered actors in his movies. Maybe it’s because he’s actually a pretty swell guy to be around. Even John Turturo had admittedly cried when he did Revenge of the Fallen, since he was allowed to shoot on location at the Pyramids—something you don’t get to do in every movie.

On the bright side, with Bay finally done with Transformers, fans can look forward to the release of Bumblebee spinoff this coming December.
