Wait, but His Dark Materials isn't due to premiere on HBO until Monday, right? It looks like fans based in the United Kingdom will actually get to see the first episode ahead of the rest of the world. The premiere episode Lyra's Jordan will air on BBC One on November 3. Well, I guess it's one of those days when you wish you were based in the UK, then.

His Dark Materials is based on the novel series by Philip Pullman and Keen will play Lyra Belacqua, a young girl who discovers a dark secret and must go on a journey to find her missing friend. Along the way, she realizes that something terrible is happening to children everywhere and that she might be the only one who can save them.

The series also stars James McAvoy as Lord Asriel, Ruth Wilson as Marisa Coulter, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Lee Scoresby, James Cosmo as Farder Coram, Clarke Peters as The Master, and Ruta Gedmintas as Serafina Pekkala.

His Dark Materials premieres on BBC One on November 3 and on HBO on November 4.
