Hideo Kojima Says Death Stranding May Take Even Longer

It's been three years since Death Stranding was announced at E3 2016, and a lot of people have been waiting on the release of Hideo Kojima's PS4 exclusive. The bad news is, we may have to wait a bit longer for the release.

When asked online if Death Stranding is playable now, Kojima replied with:

When the game was first announced, a lot of people collectively lost their minds. A game from Metal Gear Solid developer Hideo Kojima starring Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen? Nobody knew what to expect other than something completely new. The release date has never been announced, but it looks like we'll have to wait into 2020 to finally get our hands on Death Stranding.

What's very intriguing about the game is, no matter how much promotional material has been released, people still can't put their heads on what the game is going to be about. So far, everything has been shrouded in mystery. At best, we know that Death Stranding takes place in an apocalyptic wasteland, and Norman Reedus' character is Sam is some kind of delivery man. Mads Mikkelsen looks to be the main antagonist, with Guillermo del Toro, Lea Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner, and Troy Baker also playing characters in the game.

Though Death Stranding has been taking a while to release, I'm sure a lot of people are still excited about it. Kojima has a reputation for being an innovator when it comes to his games, and we don't know what to expect with something like DS.

No release date has been set for Death Stranding.
