Here's Why Spider-Man: No Way Home Screening Will Only Show 40 Minutes of the Film

With only a few days away from its awaited theatrical release, webheads are ultra hyped for Spider-Man: No Way Home which is dubbed as "the most ambitious" comic book film project in existence. However, there's apparently some drama going on behind the scenes and it's being reported by several sources that the Tom Holland-led superhero film isn't actually 100% finished ahead of its premiere.

We reported yesterday that Spider-Man: No Way Home's VFX team is rumored to still be working on the film's visual effects which sounds quite concerning but at the same time suspicious.

Now, according to insider Grace Randolph's latest scoop, Sony Pictures is saying that No Way Home will only be showing 40 minutes worth of content as they begin screening it for the press ahead of its global release. The production company continues to insist that the project is not yet 100% finished. Randolph also adds that a number of actors won't be showing up during the red carpet event and premiere to maintain some element of surprise.

Obviously, the tipster didn't drop any clues regarding the identities of the said actors but it's already safe to assume that the rumor pertains to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield who have both been heavily rumored to be in the film reprising their Spidey roles.

Personally, I'm not buying any of Sony's claims and if anything, they're just doing their best to keep the excitement and intrigue going as we begin counting down the days for No Way Home's anticipated premiere.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas on December 17, 2021.
