Here’s What You Can Expect From Star Wars: Project Porg

Remember the Porgs? These cute little things gained quite the following when Star Wars: The Last Jedi came out, though they also have a number of haters. Still, their cultural impact can't be underestimated, still appearing in cartoons, toys, and, soon enough, a video game. Well, to be more technical, it's a VR experience and is something that Star Wars fans might get into.

Star Wars: ProjectPorg lets players raise their own Porg family. The game actually starts with Chewbacca leaving you with an unspecified device and a message from franchise favorite C3-PO, who tells you how to care for these adorable creatures. Your relationship with these characters isn't known but it looks like they trust you enough to take care of these creatures.

This game was actually announced back in October but we now have a better look at this cute virtual experience. Fans of titles like Monster Rancher, Digimon: Cyber Sleuth, or the 3DS Pokemon games might enjoy this since it's like raising a pet. Well, several pets since players can have a whole gaggle of Porgs.

Currently, Star Wars: ProjectPorg does not have a release date but one could be announced soon. Developed by ILMxLAB, the company is also working on a new VR series called Vader Immortal, which focuses on the deadly Star Wars villain.
