Fans still couldn't get over Mark Ruffalo revealing the title of Avengers 4 during Friday night's episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Not surprisingly, someone has decided to remove the bleep from the interview to find out exactly what the Thor: Ragnarok actor has said.
One fan actually decided to use the software Adobe Audition to hear what Ruffalo said during the interview. They took the audio from the episode and used the spectrogram editor to remove the bleep. You can hear the result below.
It sounds like Ruffalo said, "The Last Avenger" instead of "Annihilation", which is one of the more popular theories right now. The Last Avenger actually sounds like a play at Avengers 4 being the final film for Captain America, who is The First Avenger. After all, Chris Evans famously bid the Marvel Cinematic Universe farewell in an emotional Twitter post.
But is this the real Avengers 4 title? It is highly unlikely, considering Ruffalo's earlier warning that he is being monitored closely by Marvel. There is a huge possibility that the Avengers: Infinity War star was only allowed to share the title because it isn't the real one. Unfortunately, this means our wait for the sequel's real title continues.
Ruffalo clearly seems unaffected by all the controversy over his Avengers 4 reveal, which included a rather public (and possibly unreal) firing from the Russo Brothers. The actor was recently seen meeting Jason Momoa at the New York Comic-Con. Ruffalo wore a disguise during the photo op but immediately removed his mark when Momoa asked him to show his face. The Aquaman star shared the video and picture from the encounter on his official Instagram account, calling Ruffalo a "legend." Looks like the King of Spoilers will continue to reign in the near future.
Avengers 4 will hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
