Here's What Dragon Ball Z-Style Ultra Instinct Goku Looks Like

Recent episodes of Dragon Ball Super introduced Goku's Ultra Instinct form, but what if the powerful form debuted in the previous series, Dragon Ball Z? He'd probably look way different. After all, the franchise's animation style has evolved since then, but thanks to a fan artist, we can finally get an idea what Goku would look like in Ultra Instinct form, DBZ-style.

Artist Edric Snowbeard recently shared a piece of fan-art he created of Ultra Instinct Goku. The image shows an early rendition of Goku with his signature orange pants, and instead of the greyish blue aura we see in Dragon Ball Super, his aura here looks whiter. The aura around Goku looks less like energy and more like mist. But other than that, he's got the same silver eyes.

The artist used Goku's look when he fought Raditz, which is one of the earliest scenes in Dragon Ball Z, but now, the hero looks more robust, cooler. The animation has also transformed over the years, so no wonder, Dragon Ball Super's Ultra Instinct form looks badass.

Dragon Ball Super is set to air on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
