Here's How Many Times Star Wars Has Mentioned 'The Force'

We already know that The Force is one of the most important aspects of any Star Wars film. It's so important that one movie that didn't have anything to do with the Skywalker Saga (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) actually addressed its significance and featured the most fearsome Force-user in the universe (Darth Vader). So how many times has the films mentioned "The Force"? A new video explores just that.

The YouTube channel Star Wars Kids has an ongoing segment called Star Wars By The Numbers which should probably help children learn how to count. However, it's also immensely entertaining for adults. The new episode Every Time the Force is Mentioned in the Star Wars Movies does exactly that and it's interesting to note that one particular movie mentioned it A LOT.

The term gets dropped a total of 43 times in the prequel trilogy and just about every single main character said "The Force" in the original trilogy (48 times). The new trilogy only mentioned it 24 times but that could change as soon as Star Wars: Episode IX is released.

If you were wondering which movie said "The Force" the most, that honor goes to Rogue One with an astounding 46 mentions. This shouldn't be much of a surprise considering that it was part of Chirrut Imwe's mantra: "I'm one with The Force and The Force with me."

Overall, the words "The Force" has been said 161 times in the Star Wars films. It wasn't mentioned once in Solo: A Star Wars Story because Han Solo was busy with other things back then.

Find out how many times The Force will be mentioned once again when Star Wars: Episode IX premieres on December 20.
