Here's How Henry Cavill Puts His Hair On for Netflix's The Witcher

Netflix's The Witcher has got to be the most highly-anticipated video game adaptation coming out soon, now that Pokemon: Detective Pikachu has broken the walls down for competent video game media. Well, thanks to Man of Steel star Henry Cavill, we now know that the season has finished filming and he has decided to celebrate the occasion by sharing a BTS photo of his makeup process when the actor becomes Geralt of Rivia.

The post is a nice one as it acknowledges how hard a production's makeup team has to work just to make an actor look the part. While Cavill's transformation to Geralt's isn't as extreme as turning Jennifer Lawrence to Mystique, it probably wasn't easy so we should all show some respect to the people who don't always get this kind of attention.

Since Cavill has stated that the season has finished production, we're all hoping to get some new images and a trailer soon. Now that production has seemingly ended, we can't wait and see how they do CD Projekt Red's beloved gaming franchise justice. If this show's episodes are as good as that one sidequest from The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt (you know the one, dead kids, abusive king husband, etc.) then we are in for an awesome show.
