Here's How Boba Fett Escaped the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi

In case you missed it, there have been reports that Boba Fett will be showing up in The Mandalorian Season 2 after it was confirmed that Temuera Morrison will have a guest role in the Star Wars series. But how exactly is Boba going to return if he was thrown down into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi? New fan art imagines how the character managed to escape certain death in Episode VI.

The fan art, which was inspired by Dan Luvisi's painting, was created by digital artist BritEdit and has been shared on Instagram. The image features Morrison as Boba fighting his way out of the Great Pit of Carkoon. Check it out below.

It's interesting to note that Boba is only using a dagger to fight off the creature. In addition to that, he doesn't have his helmet on considering that it could be the one thing that could prevent the Sarlacc from inflicting major injuries. On the other hand, the artist may have chosen to show off Morrison's face for artistic purposes.

For now, it is still unclear just how Boba managed to survive and escape the Pit of Carkoon. However, there is a huge chance that the fan art has depicted exactly how the character found a way to defeat the Sarlacc. Some also believe that Boba may have been rescued from the pit soon after the events in Return of the Jedi. Either way, we're hoping to learn the truth once The Mandalorian Season 2 airs later this year.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to premiere on Disney+ this October.
