Henry Cavill Wants to Play Geralt in Netflix's The Witcher Series

With his Superman career in question after DC's new policy in making films, fans are curious about what's next for Henry Cavill. The actor recently starred in the critically acclaimed Mission Impossible: Fallout, gaining a ton of praise and making plenty of money, so he isn't exactly hurting for attention. Many want to see him continue his spy work and become James Bond but Cavill also has another role he's interested in; Geralt of Rivia.

That's right, the mustached Man of Steel recently told IGN that he is interested in playing Geralt after revisiting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It's currently being adapted into a Netflix series, so the actor has a chance to audition for the role.

Cavill has proven to be a decent enough actor and he definitely has the physique to portray a hardened Witcher like Geralt. What will be challenging is if he can have a voice as iconic as the one in the game provided by Michal Zebrowski, which is up there with David Hayter as Solid Snake and Nolan North as Nathan Drake.

Right now, we don't know much about The Witcher series coming from Netflix, aside from the fact that it's being worked on. Some of the more recent reports claimed that auditions would be open soon, so Cavill should be aware of those schedules.

Netflix's The Witcher will supposedly come out around 2020.
