Henry Cavill Teases His Appearance At SDCC For The Witcher

There's a lot of excitement building up over Netflix's live-action adaptation of The Witcher books and now it looks like the series' lead star, Henry Cavill, is teasing his appearance at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International.

Taking to Instagram, Cavill decided to tease The Witcher panel for this year's Comic-Con by sharing a photo of himself as the lead character, Geralt of Rivia. In the image, you get to see the monster slayer riding on a horse looking up at a dreary sky.

"The road to San Diego is long," Cavill wrote on his post. "The good news is, on her worst day, Roach beats the company of Men, Elves, Gnomes and even Dwarves. She's not always easy, but she knows more than most and cares just enough to be the only kind of company worth enjoying. #Roach #SDCC #ComicCon @WitcherNetflix."

Fans are hoping to see a trailer for the series drop during The Witcher's panel – if not a trailer, then possibly a teaser or behind-the-scenes reel from the upcoming series.

Everyone's eager to see how the show is going to turn out. So far we've only gotten to see a few photos so far and a test video of Cavill as Geralt, so any footage would be great to see. We're also hoping that Cavill lets us know more about his future as Superman in the DC Extended Universe. Earlier this year there have been rumors that Cavill would be giving up the role – something which we'd rather not happen.

The Witcher is set to release sometime this year.
