Henry Cavill Still Open to Playing Next James Bond After Daniel Craig

Henry Cavill's departure from The Witcher certainly started new discussions about possible roles for the actor. Not surprisingly, the exit also reignited demands for Cavill to take over as the next James Bond after Daniel Craig. But would the Black Adam star consider the role? Interestingly, Cavill has just admitted that he is open to the idea of being the new 007.

Cavill was recently a guest on the Happy Sad Confused podcast where he was asked if he would consider working on a James Bond film? Interestingly, the Justice League actor pointed out that he has a packed schedule. Still, Cavill would like to sit down with 007 producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson in the future.

"Yeah. I’m quite busy now. I love those guys, Barbara and Mike… Whether I’m considered for the role or not, I don’t know. But it’d be fun to have the conversation, for sure. And if I’m not, then I just want to see what they do with it next, because I think they’re amazing," he said.

This isn't the first time that Henry Cavill has been involved in conversations about the next James Bond. After all, he has been a fan favorite for the role since it was confirmed that No Time To Die would be Daniel Craig's last film with the franchise. Still, Broccoli and Wilson have yet to address the 007 casting so we'll be waiting for updates soon.

James Bond is just one of the many roles that are being thrown around after Henry Cavill's exit from The Witcher. Fans of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon are also convinced that Cavill is being considered for a role in the second season. However, this has yet to be confirmed.

Cavill returns as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Season 3, which airs on Netflix in 2023.
