Even after over six years since the Man of Steel was released, it seems like Superman actor Henry Cavill is still very much committed to playing the character. When reports got around regarding the actor admitting that he hasn't "given up on the role", it got a lot of fans hoping to see the actor play the hero again, and it looks like Cavill himself would like that to happen as well.
In a recent interview with Fox 5's Kevin McCarthy, The Witcher star was asked regarding the Snyder Cut movement that was started last month to mark Justice League's second anniversary. The actor kept quiet about the issue at the time since he considers this as a "chapter" in his past.
He then admitted that he would just rather talk about the future of Superman. Cavill also expressed his desire to talk about how he would "express that character from the comic books," which he mentioned is something that ties into Man of Steel.
The actor then went on to share that he "really liked" the film and that he would like to tell a story picking up from what "was left at that point." When asked if we'd actually get a Man of Steel sequel, he responded, "I can tell you nothing, unfortunately." But admits that the idea would be "awesome."
And while we won't probably get to see Cavill play Superman anytime soon, you could look out for his upcoming series titled The Witcher which will be available on Netflix on December 20.
