Henry Cavill Reportedly Being Considered As Daniel Craig’s James Bond Replacement

Last week, the internet started buzzing end to end after word came out that Henry Cavill was going to hang-up his cape as the DC Extended Universe's Superman. Fans went wild.

Petitions to have Warner Brothers keep Cavill as the DCEU's Man of Steel popped up online. Reports that Black Panther's Erik Killmonger star Michael B. Jordan was being considered for the role of DC's new Superman began making its way across the rumor mill. Some strange fans started expressing interest in having Nicolas Cage take on the role instead.

Now, a week after the circus, rumors about Cavill have started making their way online again, but this time the reports are all about the DCEU star being eyed as the next James Bond.

Last week, Crazy Days and Nights (via ComicBook.com) shared a blind item rumor saying that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer was looking for a "foreign born former superhero" to replace Daniel Craig once he finished his final Bond film, Bond 25.

Today, the site decided to reveal who they were referring to, confirming that Cavill was the one being eyed for the iconic spy role.

While fans ought to take this news with a grain of salt, it would make sense for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to consider Cavill as the next James Bond. Not only is Cavill one of the most popular actors in Hollywood today, but he's also starred in action films with a similar tone to the James Bond franchise, including movies like Man from U.N.C.L.E., and Mission: Impossible-Fallout.

What do you think of the idea of having Henry Cavill as the new Bond? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
