Henry Cavill On When Fans Can Expect A Superman Sequel

The DC Extended Universe might have had trouble finding its footing after Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, that doesn't mean that Warner Brothers has given up on its burgeoning superhero franchise just yet.

For the longest time fans have been wondering whether Man of Steel, the first film in the DCEU, might ever get a sequel from the studio and now it looks like Superman actor Henry Cavill has a pretty interesting answer.

Fandango writer Erik Davis just recently interviewed Cavill for his upcoming Mission Impossible movie, Mission Impossible: Fallout, and during their discussion, the reporter asked the actor whether fans would get to see another Superman standalone movie anytime soon.

This is what Cavill told him:

"I can say this... it is highly likely we will see another Superman movie somewhere between 2019 and 2045."

Though Cavill doesn't really specify when the Man of Steel sequel would make its way to the big screen, DC fans are probably happy to hear that the Superman movie would be making its premiere sometime in the future. Of course, if they can't wait, rumor has it that Cavill's Superman just might make an appearance in the DCEU's Shazam! which premieres on April 5, 2019.
